Joel Kinnaman To Play RoboCop
It has been confirmed that Joel Kinnaman will be playing the title role in MGM’s RoboCop remake – he is best known for appearing in the US version of The Killing. Total Film recently reported that the actor had been approached for the role of Officer Alex Murphy in the reboot which is to be directed by Jose Padhila.
Kinnaman has now accepted the offer and will bring the iconic character back to the big screen.
It was heavily rumoured that the part would go to X-Men: First Class star Michael Fassbender, but he didn’t officially enter talks about the possibility of playing the role.
A release date for RoboCop is yet to be confirmed.
