Battlefield 4 Is Official

You may recall a few days ago that EA played a howler and accidentally announced Battlefield 4 on Origin. There were a few cringeworthy cover-ups from the guys over ta DICE, but we all new that it was the real deal.

And, rejoice! EA have decided to officially announce the sequel to the explosive 2011 shooter Battlefield 3 and boy are we excited. Of course, virtually nothing is known about the gameat this time, but what we do know is that people who pre-order the Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition will get access to an exclusive beta that will drop in about fourteen months.

Weighing in on the subject, the President of EA Labels, Frank Gibeau, had this to say; “Though Battlefield and Medal of Honor: Warfighter each offer players a completely unique experience, they are united by their underlying technology base – Frostbite. These are two of the hottest shooters, coming together to deliver a one-two punch of action, intensity and shooter entertainment,”

So, Call of Duty may rule this year, but could 2013 be another Activision vs EA deathmatch, or will Battlefield 4 slip into 2014? Who knows, but check back to Media Blasphemy to keep updated.
