Low Demand For TimeSplitters 4 At The Moment
A few months ago, Crytek embarked on a quest to gauge the TimeSplitters community’s lust for the long-overdue fourth instalment in the legendary series. I’d put good money on Media Blasphemy’s very own Michael Glynn submitting about a thousand “YES” responses.
Sadly for him, the results of this survey are in and they’re disappointing for die hard fans. According to the findings, the demand for TimeSplitters 4 doesn’t seem to be high enough yet. Now wipe away the tears for a shred of good news; the increased levels of interest have at least forced Crytek into thinking about a new game.
Speaking to VG247, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli had this to say; “I tested through my official blog to see how big the Timesplitters community is, and while the volume of responses was quite high, we feel it’s not high enough yet,” Yerli revealed. “That being said, it did indeed trigger a deeper evaluation of what we do with TimeSplitters, and I can only say this for now; we might have some surprises coming soon.”
It’s been a long time since the last game, and if I may, I might have a crack at a terrible pun; the future certainly won’t be perfect without another TimeSplitters game.
Don’t worry, I’ll hand in my resignation form on the way out.
