Iron Maiden Album Voted The Best British Release Of The Past 60 Years

Iron Maiden’s ’The Number Of The Beast’ has been voted the best British album of the last sixty years in an online poll by HMV.

It came top in the poll to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with nearly 10% of the 30,000 voters choosing it ahead of the four Beatles albums in the top ten and Depeche Mode’s ‘Violator’ which came second.

Some of the most influential and classic albums from the past 60 years were in the running so it’s a testament to our incredibly loyal and ever-supportive fans who voted for us.”
